Circling the amphitheater, these Dwarfed Fruit Trees represent our major Michigan fruit industry: Apples, Pears, Plums, Sweet and Sour Cherries and Peaches. The apples are historic and are grown from cuttings taken from famous trees: Johnny Appleseed, Isaac Newton (the apple dropped and the theory of gravity was born) and Liberty Hyde Bailey "father" of American horticulture and 4-H.
